EXIT: The End Is Near is a Gesamtkunstwerk.

The individual works presented here were conceptually conceived for this particular gallery space. Before installation the space went through some intensive treatment. To bring the temperature down I removed the gallery lights and replaced the tube lights in the ceilings' recess's with the brightest coldest halogen tube bulbs. The walls were plastered porcelain smooth and painted with a matte white finish. The shadows projected on the walls from water and electrical pipes in the ceiling dictated my installation strategy.

Technically, the final iteration of this work is photography, save for the floor piece which is a silicone cast in the foundry method. A form of printmaking I am exploring. As with photography, I approach these two processes as printmaking.

Both analog and digital processes are employed throughout this work. Video as well. And sound.

The imagery throughout is a documentation of the hand made printing process conceived during the "From The Yard" series. The vinyl wall text, a commercial form of printmaking, attempts to bridge the intuitive, low tech work of the hand printing process with that of the digital presentation.
